What to expect at your first consultation

First visit · 5 min read

Forty-five minutes, unhurried and without pressure. Here is exactly what happens.

The initial consultation lasts 45 minutes, costs $50, and that amount is applied as partial payment toward any service you purchase afterward. It exists to assess what you want to address, learn about the available techniques and build a plan. Follow-up consultations are free.

Why there is a consultation first

Because no treatment works the same way for everyone. Two people with the same apparent concern may need different paths depending on their anatomy, medical history, skin and what they hope to achieve.

The evaluation exists to answer three questions before you spend anything: what is actually going on, what options exist, and which one is realistic in your case. That last part is the one people appreciate most, even when the answer is that a treatment is not right for you.

The $50 fee is applied toward any service you purchase afterward. In other words: getting properly informed costs you nothing extra.

What the visit is like

Forty-five minutes, one-on-one, by appointment only. This is a boutique clinic in Katy: no crowded waiting rooms, no production-line feeling.

The conversation starts with you, not with a procedure. What bothers you, since when, what you have tried before, what you would like to see in the mirror. Then comes the assessment of skin and structures, the review of your medical history and medication, and an explanation of the options that fit.

At the end the plan is defined: what is recommended, in what order, roughly how many sessions, what aftercare it requires and what it costs. All of that is communicated to you before anything begins.

What to bring

  • The list of medications and supplements you take, including those that seem irrelevant.
  • Medical history, allergies and previous surgeries.
  • Which aesthetic treatments you have had and when, even if elsewhere.
  • Photos of yourself from a few years ago, if handy: they help show the progression.
  • Your questions, written down. It is easy to forget them in the room.

If you use retinoids, blood thinners, or have had a recent treatment in the area, mention it even if nobody asks: it can change the right moment to start.

What is worth asking

A good consultation holds up to uncomfortable questions. These are useful:

  • Why do you recommend this and not an alternative?
  • What change is realistic in my case, and what is not?
  • How many sessions and how often?
  • What happens if I do not like the result?
  • What aftercare do I need, and for how long?
  • Is this indication approved for this area?
A reliable signal: a professional who clearly tells you what a treatment will not achieve is more trustworthy than one who only lists benefits.

What happens next

There is no obligation to book anything that same day. You can leave with the plan, think it over and come back.

If you decide to move forward, the treatment is scheduled and you receive any pre-treatment instructions that apply. Follow-up consultations are free and last 30 minutes: they exist to assess progress and adjust the plan. Procedures are booked separately.
